Warehouse worker CV example
A warehouse worker's CV has to answer a few simple questions: do you hold a forklift certificate, have you worked with scanners and a warehouse management system (WMS), what are your picking rate and accuracy, and can you work shifts. One page, facts, numbers.
This example suits order pickers, forklift operators and warehouse operatives in logistics centres. If the ad is in English, write the CV in English too and use the standard English names for your equipment and systems: forklift, pallet stacker, reach truck, RF scanner, WMS.
CV example

- Pick orders using WMS and RF scanners: up to 180 lines per hour at 99.8% accuracy (department average 98.9%).
- Operate an electric forklift and pallet stacker: goods receiving, put-away and loading.
- Trained 8 new staff in the picking standards.
- Received, checked and put away goods; stocktake discrepancies under 0.5%.
- Loaded shipments and completed the shipping documents.

What to put in a warehouse worker CV
Forklift, pallet stacker and reach truck certificates, with their expiry dates. For many positions they are a must-have.
Lines per hour, accuracy as a percentage, stocktake results: the figures the warehouse manager actually measures.
The name of the WMS (if you know it), scanners, handheld terminals: logistics centres look for people who do not have to learn from scratch.
Shift work, no unauthorised absences, physical fitness: state them directly.
Most common mistakes
- Certificates, or their expiry dates, left out.
- A long CV full of unrelated jobs: one page is enough here.
- No numbers on productivity at all.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a cover letter?
No. A short CV and a message saying when you can start and which shifts suit you. If the ad is in English, write the message in English as well: a few plain sentences are enough.
What should I write if I have no experience?
Physical fitness, any certificates and licences (even if it is only a category B driving licence), willingness to work shifts and any work experience you have. Many logistics centres provide training.
Do I need a forklift certificate?
Not as an order picker; as a forklift operator, yes. A certificate usually means higher pay and more job offers.
