Marketing specialist CV example

A marketing specialist's CV has to prove that marketing, in your hands, is an investment rather than a cost: campaign results, the cost of acquiring each customer, growth in sales or followers. A list of channels and tools is essential, but without numbers it proves nothing.

The example covers both digital and traditional marketing (events). Shift the balance to suit the role. Metrics such as ROAS, CPA and conversion rate need no translation; what an English CV does need is the context a recruiter outside Lithuania lacks: what the company sells, how big it is and which markets your campaigns targeted.

What to put in a marketing specialist CV

A result for every channel

ROAS, CPA, conversion rate, traffic growth, email open rates. If you don't know your numbers, find them out before you write the CV.

Budgets

The size of the budgets you have managed (€500 or €50,000 a month) decides which roles you can apply for. Say whether a figure is monthly or per campaign.

Tools by their exact names

GA4, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Semrush: applicant tracking systems (ATS) search for keywords like these. Mirror the ad's wording too: if it asks for “paid social” or “CRM marketing”, use those terms next to your tools.

Portfolio

Add a link to campaign examples, blog articles or event photos: in marketing, your work speaks louder than your CV. If the samples are in Lithuanian, add one line in English for each: the goal and the result.

Most common mistakes

  • A long list of tools without a single result.
  • No clear line between what you did yourself and what the agency or the team did.
  • Generic phrases such as “creative” and “proactive” at the top of the CV.

Frequently asked questions

Does a marketing CV need a creative design?

In moderation. A heavily designed layout can stop some applicant tracking systems from reading the CV correctly, and the hiring manager wants content. Clean typography and one accent colour are enough; show your creativity in your portfolio.

What should I write at the start of my career?

Internships, marketing for your own or friends' projects with numbers (follower growth, campaign results), certifications (Google, Meta, HubSpot) and a portfolio.

Should I mention campaigns that failed?

Not in the CV. In the interview, yes, together with what you learned: in marketing, testing and learning from results is part of the job.
