Manager / director CV example
A senior manager's CV is read by shareholders, board members or executive search consultants. They look for business results: revenue and profit growth, the size of the teams you led, the strategic changes you delivered. Link each role and skill to concrete business results and the changes you drove.
This example suits heads of department, directors and C-level roles: the scale changes, the structure does not. Translate your job titles by what the role actually was, not word for word: “generalinis direktorius” is usually CEO or managing director, “komercijos direktorius” commercial director.

What to put in a manager or director CV
Revenue, profit, margin, growth in percent, each with the years. A manager's CV without financial results is unfinished.
Headcount, direct reports, budget, markets. This shows what size of company you can credibly apply to. If the CV may go to a foreign owner or an international group, add one line on what each company does: a UAB name on its own tells a reader abroad nothing.
Exports, acquisitions, restructuring, digitalisation: 2–3 examples, each with the result and your role.
3–4 sentences: who you are, the scale of the businesses you have led, your biggest achievement, what you are looking for.
Most common mistakes
- A list of duties (“responsible for the company's operations”) with no numbers.
- A CV longer than 2 pages that lists every role since university.
- Missing context: how big the company was, which market it served, what situation you took over.
Frequently asked questions
How long can a manager's CV be?
Two pages. Your roles from the last 10–15 years with results; earlier roles on one line each.
Does a manager need a LinkedIn profile?
Yes. Executive search consultants look there first. The profile must match the CV. If you apply for roles advertised in English, keep the profile in English, with the same job titles and dates as your English CV.
Should I mention periods that went badly?
In the CV, show the results you achieved in difficult conditions (a crisis, a restructuring). Analysing what went wrong is a topic for the interview.
